You will love the three decks that span the entire length of the house. The upper decks are perfect for star gazing after a long day on the beach. In the morning, take your coffee up to the top deck for a bird’s eye view. Also on this floor are a utility room with a full sized washer/dryer, an extra half bath off of the entry area and two large decks on either side with tables and seating so you can enjoy your meals in the ocean air. <br /> <br />Upstairs on the third floor you will find two bedrooms with wide glass doors that slide open to the expansive decks which have some limited ocean views. Each bedroom has an ensuite bath. One bedroom has a full size bed. The other bedroom has two sets of pyramid bunk beds (twin on top and full on the bottom) and sleeps a total of six persons. The connected sleeping loft area (a private room off of the bunk bedroom) has two full size futons that pull out to sleep four people. Here you will find many high end homes in a safe and secure subdivision along the beach. Pirate's Beach is unusual because of the emphasis on a massive dune restoration project and also a prohibition against cars on the beach. You will not see cars speeding down the beach here as you do on other Galveston beaches.<br /><br />Additionally, because Pirate's Beach is closer to the Seawall, you will not have to fight the traffic that plagues the subdivisions farther west on Galveston Island. You can spend more time enjoying your vacation and less time on the road when you want to go out for dinner, a day trip to Moody Gardens or Schlitterbahn, or if you need to grab something at the store in town.
